Gary Nicholson: CEO
Gary Nicholson is currently the CEO of Dynamic Crew Training Pty Ltd (DCT).
Prior to occupying his current roles Gary was a member of the Victorian Police Force for over 30 years. Gary’s thorough understanding of the rigours of police work has been further reinforced by the variety of positions he has held within the force. He particularly enjoyed working within the training division of Victoria Police including time spent as a Search and Rescue instructor, Four Wheel Drive, and Snow Safety instructor. Gary also assisted with Operational Safety Tactics training and specialised Officer training. Other roles Gary held within the Victorian Police included: covert operations within specialist squads; Police Prosecutor at the Magistrates Court; Coroners Assistant at the Coroners Court; Aboriginal Liaison Officer; Domestic Violence Liaison Officer; Policy Writer including formulating policies for operational members to be compliant with current legislation; advisor to the government of new legislation requirements; and adviser to the Chief Commissioner’s Office.
Ray Woodford: Group General Manager
Ray Woodford is currently the Group General Manager of Dynamic Crew Training Pty Ltd (DCT).
Ray was appointed to his current role as a result of his extensive and diverse background and qualifications in both Military and Civil aviation.
Ray’s aviation career commenced with over a decade of RAAF Aircrew experience that included operational deployments and active service in such theatres as Gulf War 1, Namibia, Somalia, and Cambodia. During his time as a RAAF Aircrew member Ray was closely associated and intricately involved with the routine uplift and air transport of many VIPs including Australian and foreign Heads-of-State, Government Leaders, Royalty, and other military and civilian dignitaries as required. Ray also undertook the role of Instructor and Senior Instructor for all RAAF Cabin Crew Training.
Following his RAAF service, Ray progressed to Qantas where, over a period of some 23 years, he occupied such operational positions as Cabin Crew, Cabin Manager, Cabin Crew Line Manager, Aviation Safety Training Instructor, LOSA Auditor, Base Manager for Aviation Safety Training (Qantas Flight Training Melbourne), and more recently, the Executive/Operational Management position of Qantas Airport Manager: Melbourne.
Ray’s core professional passion is and always has been Aviation Safety Training and, to that end, he currently holds or has previously held many relevant qualifications, certifications, and endorsements including Cert IV: Training and Assessment (TAE40110), relevant Regulator (CASA)-issued Aircrew proficiency testing instruments (CAO 20:11), Regulator (CASA)-issued Dangerous Goods Instruction Instruments (CAR 92.140), and Human Factors/CRM Instruction qualifications (CAO 82.5). Ray’s contribution to Aviation Safety was formally recognised when in 2007 he was awarded the prestigious Qantas Group Annual Safety Award for his instructional style and positive safety influence on his Aircrew peer group.

Our dedicated team of hand-picked Instructors are an elite group of extensively-experienced, well-respected, and highly-skilled and motivated individuals. Each one has been specifically selected for their demonstrated subject matter expertise within their chosen field, and proven competency and effectiveness in contemporary adult learning techniques. To ensure consistent high quality of training product is delivered to our customers, every DCT Instructor is, as an absolute minimum standard and requirement, Cert IV: Training and Assessment (TAE40110) qualified. All DCT Instructors are committed to ensuring that the DCT Brand Values are maintained and upheld at all times.
